Wanting to work with children and teach them through play and fun toys?

Working as a PLAY therapist could be the job for you.

Our clients: children developmental delays e.g. Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Fine Motor Skill delays, communication delays,

Location: In private client homes across the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey, City of Knox.   We link you with a child client/s near you.

Hours: 9 hours minimum per week, through to 40 hours weekly.  Work with one client, or work with far more children across the week (flexible). You would have a regular time and day for your therapy sessions once placed.

Role: Involves working 1:1 with our child clients, running our play based lesson plans/activities with our clients.  Lesson plans are written by our Play Psychologists for you to follow.  Sample activities our PLAY therapists complete with clients: painting or building Mr.Potato head for fine motor,  Matching colours and Shapes, Rolling a Ball for gross motor skills, Learning to drink from a cup, Learning to nod ‘yes’ when offered strawberries, Counting toy trains, Learning to Play Farm set or Playdough, learning to Drink from a cup, plus many many more.

 

Nature of the role: Paid privately by Clients through their self-managed NDIS funding including travel reimbursement (NO NDIS registrations required  by Play therapist). This is a self-employment opportunity (client pays directly to you). The opportunity included all training, direct referral to work with our many PLAY clients. Intensive training and ongoing supervision and support provided ( 2 hours fortnightly). *One Initial Training fee applies.
