At Child and Family Play Therapy, we are passionate about supporting children to grow up to be the best versions of themselves. We use evidence-based models, our experience from working with children across education, counselling and mental health environments and the therapeutic powers of play to support children’s ongoing social and emotional development. We offer a range of Play Therapy interventions, including Child Centered Play Therapy, Theraplay and Child Parent Relationship Therapy and Sandtray Therapy.
What’s the role?
Here’s some more details about what your new workdays could involve:
Delivering Play Therapy sessions aligned to evidence-based frameworks and best practice guidelines;
• Conducting initial intake consultations with families to fully understand the individual circumstances of each child and how you can support the family unit to achieve their goals;
• Take part in regular training and supervision activities to ensure your confidence that your therapy sessions are the best they can be for the benefit of the children and their families;
Prepare reports for all stakeholders, including the child’s school or other educational facility, NDIS and / or other agencies including government and private.

Your nurturing nature and ability to effortlessly relate to and build relationships with children and families will complement the high-quality therapy sessions you facilitate. You’ll also love to communicate with families and other service or therapy providers to positively contribute to a holistic approach to each child’s development.
