As a Play Therapist at Home of Play, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic support to children and, in some cases, adults, using play-based interventions to help them navigate emotional and psychological challenges. Your role will involve creating a safe and nurturing environment where clients can express themselves, explore their feelings, and work towards improved mental and emotional well-being. Please be advised that this role requires travel.
You’ll have chances to contribute to the development of Parenting Programs and delve into your own therapeutic dream projects. You can also engage in creating social media content and collaborate closely with the marketing team to educate and inform our audience. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in counselling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Hold a current driver licence for the class of vehicle they are driving and a registered vehicle that is fully insured
- Additional training and Certification in Play Therapy – this may be provided with your employment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly when working with children.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping individuals enhance their mental and emotional well-being.
