Possum House are offering a unique opportunity starting in late January 2024 for a new graduate or an experienced clinician who would like a new challenge to train over 12-24 months as a Play Therapist. The training program meets the Australian Play Therapy Association requirement for full registration including over 200 hours of training and 50 hours of clinical supervision by a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor funded by Possum House. For Social Workers this also counts towards the Accredited Mental Health Social Worker AASW registration requirements

 

About You

Applications need to be passionate about helping children and one of the following…. 

A Bachelors degree or higher in Counselling and registered with the Australian Counselling Association 

A Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Social Work and eligibility to register with the AASW 

An Early Childhood / Primary Teacher with a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Education 

A registered or clinical psychologist 

An Occupational Therapist 

A Music Therapist eligible for registration with AMTA 

An Art Therapist eligible for registration with ANZACATA
