THE ROLE

You will be responsible for:

• Provision of effective, evidence based assessments,  therapy, motivational and behavioural counselling to a range of clients 
• Conducting assessments to create behaviour support plans 
• Developing customised strategies for individuals with disabilities which address their needs, reduce challenging behaviours and limit the use of restrictive practices
• Collaborate with participants, their families, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and service providers to ensure behaviour support plans meet NDIS requirements.
• Conduct psychometric, behavioural  and other assessments 
• Provide  psycho-cognitive education to clients

And a few of our MUST’s :

• Relevant DEGREE qualification
• Interest / experience with adults & youth ( we service  8-65)
• Skills/ knowledge of  some evidence based therapies
• Good problem solving & verbal communication skills
• NDIS worker screening check (or eligible)
• Working with Children Check (or eligible)
• Own vehicle
• Growth mindset and agile 
• Provisional Psychologists should have AHPRA registration or be eligible under the 5+ 1 internship pathway
