THE ROLE
You will be responsible for:
- Provision of effective, evidence based assessments, therapy, motivational and behavioural counselling to a range of clients
- Conducting assessments to create behaviour support plans
- Developing customised strategies for individuals with disabilities which address their needs, reduce challenging behaviours and limit the use of restrictive practices
- Collaborate with participants, their families, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and service providers to ensure behaviour support plans meet NDIS requirements.
- Conduct psychometric, behavioural and other assessments
- Provide psycho-cognitive education to clients
And a few of our MUST’s :
- Relevant DEGREE qualification
- Interest / experience with adults & youth ( we service 8-65)
- Skills/ knowledge of some evidence based therapies
- Good problem solving & verbal communication skills
- NDIS worker screening check (or eligible)
- Working with Children Check (or eligible)
- Own vehicle
- Growth mindset and agile
- Provisional Psychologists should have AHPRA registration or be eligible under the 5+ 1 internship pathway
