About the Opportunity

Due to our on-going, consistent growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team.

Become part of a team who are committed to assisting a range of adolescents and adults with various diagnosis and presentations. Grow your career as a psychologist within a collaborative and supportive multidisciplinary team and assist clients in improving their overall mental health and well-being.

Some of the key responsibilities in this role will include, but not be limited to

  • Development and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans
  • Provide psychological intervention and behaviour support
  • Provide a high level of professional judgement and knowledge
  • Be responsible for providing psychology services efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner
  • Conduct psychometric, behavioural and functional assessments.
  • Complete reports and work towards goals within the NDIS plans
  • At all times be professional and caring
  • Actively participate in team meetings all related training

If successful, you will be supported by your respective clinical team leader and work in an interdisciplinary system alongside our dedicated speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, positive behaviour support practitioners and therapy assistants.

About You

The position is suitable for experienced psychologists who align with our values and have:

  • Ability to develop, implement, monitor and review behaviour support plans that are responsive to the person’s needs, improves the participant’s quality of life and supports their progress towards positive change based on evidence-informed practice
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of the issues, trends and legislation underpinning the provision of clinical service delivery to people with a disability and under the NDIS and the Quality and Safeguarding Commission
  • A genuine passion for quality allied health care delivery that optimises the positive impact that we have on the people we support
  • Alignment with and commitment to our core values

The successful candidate will also have:

  • Relevant psychology tertiary qualification (or equivalent)
  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence

Current or willing to obtain:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Commission
