About the role
Our client is looking to appoint a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to their organisation based in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Complete behavioural assessments, risk assessments, adaptive functioning assessments and management plans
- Develop intervention plans and strategies
- Provide coaching and support to individuals, families, staff and management
- Implement intervention strategies in consultation with individuals and their families
- Provide high quality evidence-based treatments
- Work in collaboration with individuals and their family members
- Undertake duties in line with standard operating procedures and legislative requirements
- Ensure consistency of care is maintained and any changes in participant circumstances are reported to relevant parties
- Complete timely and accurate reports and documentation
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor of Social Sciences or Bachelor of Education (or equivalent)
- Current AHPRA registration for Occupational Therapists or Psychologists
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Open and understanding personality with a collaborative approach
- An understanding of restrictive practices
- Australian working rights
- Full Australian drivers’ licence
- National Police Clearance
- NDIS, DHS clearance, WWC (or willing to obtain)
- 2022 Flu vaccination + 3x Covid vaccinations
