Key Responsibilities
- Develop Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Perform Complex Functional Behavioural Assessments.
- Implement interventions within a variety of contexts (i.e. home, school and community).
- Enhance the skills and knowledge of those who care for persons with disability.
- Evaluate the quality of Behaviour Support Plans
- Implement Restrictive Practices in accordance with Safeguard requirements.
- Supervise Core Level Practitioners in Service Delivery and Restrictive Practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
In order to apply for this role, you must be a currently registered NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner.
We also expect you to have one or more of the following qualifications
- Tertiary Degree in Psychology and Registered as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work and Registered with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Tertiary qualification in Counselling, Mental Health or equivalent.
- Leadership Skills and at least 3 years’ relevant experience (for Team Leader position)
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience working with people with psychosocial disability, families and Support Workers within a systems context.
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of dignity, respect, inclusion empowerment and confidentiality.
- Experience working with people with a disability who have high support needs.
- Understanding and commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
- Strong written and computer skills for the creation of plans, programs, reports, correspondence, and other documents.
