Position Overview: As a Korean-Speaking Behavior Support Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in conducting assessments, designing tailored behavior support plans, and implementing interventions that empower individuals to thrive. Your ability to communicate fluently in Korean will be essential in ensuring effective collaboration with clients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough functional behavior assessments to identify the root causes of challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate closely with clients and their families to create individualized behavior support plans.
- Develop and implement evidence-based behavior interventions that align with clients’ unique needs.
- Utilize data collection and analysis to track progress and make informed adjustments to interventions.
- Provide comprehensive training and guidance to caregivers and support staff on effective intervention strategies.
- Maintain detailed records documenting interventions, progress, and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in behavior analysis and integrate new knowledge into practice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field.
- Fluency in both English and Korean is essential.
- APRHA reg is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in conducting functional behavior assessments and crafting behavior support plans.
- Solid understanding of behavior analysis principles and their practical application.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with clients and their families.
- Proficiency in collecting and analyzing behavioral data to inform decision-making.
