Role Overview: As the Practice Manager, you’ll be the guiding force behind our counselling services for women and children who are experiencing or a lived experience of domestic and family violence and sexual violence. You’ll lead a team of dedicated counsellors, ensuring the delivery of trauma-informed and high-quality counselling that supports women and children in their journey towards health and wellbeing. Your expertise in clinical supervision, program development, and team management will be the cornerstone of our success.
What You’ll Do: As the Practice Manager, you will lead and support workers in the domestic and family violence, sexual violence, and women’s wellbeing sector to be culturally appropriate, collaborative, and to have the skills and capabilities to work effectively with a broad range of clients. You’ll shape trauma-informed programs, improve services, and prioritise client care and safety and wellbeing of women and children, you’ll provide training, foster growth, and engage with stakeholders and the community. You’ll also ensure compliance, maintain records, and leverage your qualifications to drive transformative impact.

To excel in this role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in the domestic and family violence and sexual violence sector.
- Proven experience in counselling women and children experiencing or a lived experience of domestic and family violence and sexual violence.
- Previous experience in supervision and team management.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed framework and evidence-based counselling practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Collaborative spirit, able to work with diverse stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
- Deep empathy, sensitivity, and a commitment to social justice and supporting trauma survivors.
