About the role
selectability is seeking to appoint a team of Practice Supervisors to provide support to our 600+ mental health community professionals who are on the frontline and face to face with consumers. You will utilise your knowledge and experience to debrief, mediate and provide support to our front facing employees to assist consumers achieve their goals. This is not an EAP program. You have the opportunity to work the volume of hours that suit you including on a casual, part-time or fulltime basis. We welcome applications to provide face to face support across our regional Queensland footprint but remain very open to the provision of online support…which means you could be located anywhere in Australia.
Main duties
The Practice Supervisor’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist front-line employees support consumers to achieve their goals
- Support the safety of front –line employees and consumers
- Whilst not providing EAP type services, support the professional and wellbeing needs of our front-line employees
- Debriefing following an incident to reduce burnout of our front line employees
- Mediate as required
- Supervision is provided individually or in a group
About you
- Minimum bachelor degree in mental health or related field
- Registration with relevant professionals association, ACA, AHPRA, AASW etc.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience employed in community mental health
- An understanding of NDIS in relation to consumer goals and outcomes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Work within a recovery oriented framework
- Ability to thrive in a growing fast pace environment
- A Positive Notice Working with Children (Blue Card) with a Yellow Card Exemption or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- An NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety & You’ completion certificate
