About the Role:
Provide professional and exceptional community support services to clientele accessing Health and Wellbeing –Addiction services provided by Anglicare in line with Anglicare’s Practice Principles and Framework of Practice.
The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas:
- Provide support to people accessing Anglicare’s addiction services within the Anglicare practice framework and other standards related to the Community Services sector;
- Facilitate assessment and planning processes with people accessing our addiction services and identify their personal barriers and support needs and develop meaningful ways to overcome barriers and provide support;
- In collaboration with people accessing our addiction services, develop a service plan to guide the intentional support to be provided, provide regular intentional support based on service plan and identified support needs, review service plans and support needs regularly and revise plan accordingly;
- Support people accessing our addiction services to find sustainable and meaningful access to natural community resources, services and other supports, at the same time as encouraging and supporting self-advocacy and self-determination;
- Providing information on a broad range of issues including but not limited to health, employment, income support, training and skills development;
- Facilitate end of support planning with people seeking support;
- Provide Community education and information to services, organisations, community groups, neighbourhood and community houses;
- Relevant degree level qualification (Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health), or essentially required accreditation from a recognised institution

The successful applicant will be required to:
- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the 1st time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021;
- present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical:
- provide evidence of your COVID-19 Digital Certificates (including booster) or a vaccination exemption;
- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
