Lives Lived Well opened our newest residential alcohol and other drug treatment service – the first of its kind in Central Queensland in late 2021. In this innovative 42-bed service, our specialised team provides residential rehabilitation, withdrawal and family support.

We currently have an opportunity available for a Pre & Post Worker to join our service on a full-time 7-month parental leave replacement contract starting in late November 2022.
As a Pre and Post Worker, you will deliver individual and group based counselling and support services to proactively assist and support clients with entry and exit into suitable residential treatments.
The base salary range for this role is $44.92 to $46.95 per hour + 10.5% super + salary packaging + additional paid wellbeing days.
What do you need to apply?
About you
You will play a key role as the first point of contact for supporting people in crisis time. Hence the role requires someone with a calm and empathetic approach and the ability to work autonomously.
You will also possess the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant human services discipline with additional AOD qualifications highly regarded.
- Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD counselling practice, case management and intake and assessment.
- Demonstrated expertise in residential treatment service delivery with a sound knowledge of the potential risk elements specific to this type of environment.
- Highly developed communication and community engagement skills.
- Local area knowledge, especially of community service agencies and programs.
- Experience in working in an outreach service.
