The King’s Preparatory School is seeking an experienced and intuitive School Counsellor.
This role will be responsible for the professional counselling and mental health care of the students, and in some instances the staff and other members of the Preparatory School Community.
Please note, this is a permanent part time (term time only) opportunity commencing Term 1 2024 at The King’s Preparatory School in North Parramatta.

To be successful for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate how you meet the following:
- Professional qualifications in Psychology enabling professional registration
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Understanding of the academic and wellbeing needs of primary aged students as these relate to the learning, social, emotional and personal growth outcomes for students
- Ability to coordinate, organise and provide counselling and wellbeing advice, undertaking a whole school community approach
- Experience as a Counsellor with primary aged children within a school setting preferred
- Experience in presenting in parent education workshops and seminars
- Capacity and confidence in using ICT for maintaining digital records, data harvesting, extrapolation, and communication
