Private practice psychologists – multiple roles in boutique practice South Melbourne Psychology

JOB DESCRIPTION

About us

South Melbourne Psychology is a well-established, busy private practice with a team of clinicians that work with a wide range of clients with diverse needs. We offer evidence-based practice in the form of individual and couples therapy with a view to expand into group work soon (e.g., anxiety management and distress tolerance skills). Most clients that are referred to South Melbourne Psychology are referred under the Better Access Scheme through Medicare. Clients are also referred via Worksafe, TAC, NDIS and/or self-referred.

Our practice operates out of a lovely terrace house with 5 treatment rooms across 2 floors and is located close to public transport (trains and multiple tram routes), schools, Albert Park Lake, and cafes. There is also free parking available on site for practitioners and plentiful street parking for clients. Each treatment room is soundproof, has a desk for administration/telehealth, ample room for couples/families, and solid internet.

We provide regular supervision with clinically registered supervisors, and aim to set up peer supervision among clinicians. South Melbourne Psychology is a collegial practice to work for and clients consistently praise the feel of our practice for its warmth and calm and its deviation from a medical clinic environment.

About the role

We are looking for Registered Psychologists or Clinical Psychologists who are willing to work a minimum of 2 days a week. Flexible days are available, but you must be willing to work a minimum of 5 hours a day.

We currently have an increased demand for our services for both individual and couples work, and can provide plenty of referrals. Full fees apply for clients. We do not Bulk Bill. The scope of administrative support you require can be discussed with us when we meet.

Masters or Doctorate Level training in Psychology and registration with AHPRA

Professional Indemnity Insurance, Public Liability Insurance and ABN

Ability to deliver evidence-based practice and clinical experience in a wide range of client presentations and issues.
