The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Professional Lead – Social Worker (Mental Health and Specialist Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Lead change through service-wide quality and service improvement activities and the development of quality Improvement activities
- Provide advanced level knowledge and clinical skills in Mental Health Social Work as recognised by clinical experience and professional development activities
- Contribute to the professional body of knowledge by identifying research opportunities and projects, supporting and promoting research within the profession and Mental Health and Specialist Services
- Deliver specialist level Mental Health Social Work clinical and consultancy services to multidisciplinary teams, and consumers with minimal direct clinical supervision
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Social Work
- Eligible for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner
- Driver Licence
- Blue Card
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against – Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $135 354 – $141 234 per annum
