About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Programs Manager you will be responsible for delivering therapeutic, manual based interventions tailored to address a range of offending behaviours, whilst promoting and supporting positive behavioural change.
Under the supervision of a Senior Supervisor and Program Manager, you will co-facilitate a group of up to 12 prisoners to address offending behaviours, reduce risk of reoffending, and ensure individual prisoner needs are met. In addition, you will also prepare case notes, defendable documentation, and other reports to ensure accurate record of offender progress.

What you’ll be doing
You are a passionate and dedicated individual who excels in challenging situations where you are required to manage a diverse group of individuals with varied and complex needs. You will adapt your facilitation style to the needs of the client and deliver in a clear concise manner. You’ll have a commitment to driving positive change and support all individuals with a non-judgemental attitude. As a natural leader you enjoy mentoring junior members of the team and sharing your experience working with offenders and leading group and individual facilitation.
Your ideal skills & experience
- Demonstrated experience in group facilitation, ideally working with offenders, complex mental health and/or behavioural issues.
- Psychology, Social Work qualifications highly desirable
- Experience within a correctional, welfare or other institutional setting (desired)
- Highly effective and accurate report writing skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage assigned tasks.
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
