The Role

We are currently seeking a Program Facilitator to join the Community Safety and Wellbeing team. As a Program Facilitator, you are to develop and deliver a range of services to support men and young people who choose to use violence and/or abuse cease their use of these behaviours while maximising the safety of women, young people and children.

As a Program Facilitator, you are responsible for prioritising and establishing safety for women, children and other family members. This role will provide specialist risk assessment, individual counselling, group work; case management support; telephone intervention; information; advocacy and referral for clients in Residential Family Safety Services. 

This role includes shift work, on a permanent part time basis working 74 hours per fortnight.  Shifts include nights, days, weekends, sleepover and solo shifts

Selection Criteria

  • Ability to develop rapport, be non-judgemental and provide a high level of risk assessment, safety planning, individual and group work, case management to clients across the lifespan.
  • Intermediate communication skills when liaising at all levels with other service providers.
  • Ability to apply current knowledge of developmental and psychosocial issues to assess clients and refer effectively if deemed necessary.
  • Demonstrated high level time management and task management skills, and ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (three doses where eligible)
  • Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
  • Working With Children Check
