About the role

Program Facilitator, Connect and Respect engages men in a court mandated targeted behaviour change process to support immediate, short term and long term behavioural and attitudinal change, and through group education initiatives and/or individual counselling in prisons or community based settings, provides culturally competent rehabilitation and reintegration services to male perpetrators of FDV.

This is a part time (22.5 hours per week) max term contract until December 2023 based in our metro site in Joondalup. The days of work are Tuesdays and Thursdays: 12:30-8.30pm and Wednesday 8:30-4:30.  

About you

To achieve success in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a human services related field (a contractual requirement set by our funding body)
  • Significant industry experience with specialist knowledge relevant to family and domestic violence including knowledge of intervention models appropriate to working with FDV perpetrators.
  • Knowledge of the impact of family violence on adult victims, children, young people and communities
  • Ability to facilitate and deliver community education and community development programmes
  • Excellent formal report and case note writing skills 
  • Experience working with mandated clients would be highly desirable

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, WA Drivers Licence, Covid vaccination certification or current medical exemption and be able to obtain a Department of Corrective Services clearance.

  • $87,579 full time salary range per annum pro rata + 10.5% superannuation
  • In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount
