JOB DESCRIPTION

The role

You will report to the Senior Manager Training and Development and you will be responsible for the delivery of brief group-based interventions to medium and high-risk offenders using adult learning principles and a strength-based approach, delivered online and in person. These programs have a focus on the need for reflection, development of pro-social skills and positive life re-direction to support correctional cohorts to complete their Community Correction Orders (CCO). 

This is a great casual opportunity for skilled individuals who are available to travel across metropolitan Melbourne, including Sunshine, Broadmeadows, Dandenong, Melbourne and Geelong. Whilst this is a casual position, successful candidates can expect work during normal business hours, i.e. Monday to Friday, but it also may involve work on a Saturday. You can expect to be rostered on for one to two shifts per week.

About you

  • Degree in education, counselling, social work or other related fields.
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment and/or several years’ experience in facilitating training workshops to adults.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills with experience facilitating groups with adults from variety of backgrounds and needs; including clients with complex needs.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Fully maintained vehicle and current Victorian drivers licence.

The hourly rate is $60.44 per hour, inclusive of the 25% casual loading.
