MACS and Diversitat have been serving the Geelong community for more than 40 years with a focus on our multicultural communities. As the new entity, Cultura operates across various sites delivering a range of services including residential aged care, home care and aged support services, settlement, training and education, financial counselling and disability support. We also operate a range of social enterprises including The Pulse community radio and various community events including the popular Pako Festa.

Cultura offers an extremely generous salary packaging benefit, giving staff the opportunity to salary package up to $18,550 per annum of their pre-tax yearly income.

The Role:

The Program Facilitator, Youth Services will have responsibility for the management of the Cultura Wraparound program, with the initiative being focused on working with young people from multicultural communities who are already involved with the youth justice system or who are at risk of offending. Essential components of the role include implementing a service delivery approach which promotes youth and family decision-making and adopts a strength-based approach to addressing young people’s needs. In addition to this, close collaboration with a range of service providers within the community is required to ensure a collective approach is taken to proactively addressing the needs of young people involved in the program.

This position will be contracted on a permanent part-time basis, working 15 hours per week, and will be based from the Northern Community Hub in Norlane.

About You:

  • Promote the Wraparound program within the local community; 
  • Enhance and implement service delivery practice processes; 
  • Lead and manage respectful, positive and strategic stakeholder relationships to deliver program outcomes;
  • Support and mentor program participants;
  • Participate on and contribute to care team meetings;
  • Ensure a clear action plan is in place for each young person and that this is reviewed regularly;
  • Prepare quarterly reports for the program funder;
  • Maintain data collection systems and processes;
  • Monitoring and evaluation of program participants;
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Youth Work or related discipline;
  • A current driver’s license.
