The Mijung Jarjums Kids in Mind program supports children and young people aged up to 18 years and their families, who are showing signs of, or are at risk of, developing mental illness.  

The program provides accessible, flexible, high-quality, integrated, and responsive care, through the provision of individual and/or family therapeutic interventions and case management. The program scope allows creative, innovative and expressive forms of therapeutic intervention with the child or young person goals at the forefront.

The program aims to: 

  • Support children and young people to have improved mental health and well-being
  • better manage any negative impacts of mental health/well- being matters on their lives, and reach their full potential  
  • support families and carers to better understand and their children and young people
  • increase mental health awareness, literacy, and capacity in the community

This part time role is based in Lismore and will involve intake, assessment, case management, advocacy and short-term support for children and families accessing the program as well as co-facilitation of school and community groups and events.
