Fixed-term, full-time position, based at any of our locations statewide

Hobart, Launceston, Burnie or Devonport

This role concludes on the 30 June 2024.  There may be an opportunity for this role to continue or another similar role at Anglicare Tasmania, subject to government funding.

We provide programs relating to ageing and disability, health, housing, families, drug and alcohol treatment and support and more.

About the Role:

This role is tasked with reviewing and consulting on rebranding Anglicare Tasmania’s current Child & Youth Mental Health program as well as reviewing Anglicare’s current program practice to develop a Children’s Voice Framework in collaboration with our stakeholders.

The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas:

  • Highly developed project management skills including facilitation and resourcing of meetings and consultations;
  • Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to influence and negotiate to build consensus on key issues.
  • An ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, organise work and achieve objectives within time lines and budget
  • Ability to work in a sensitive, complex and demanding environment with a high degree of autonomy and self-management.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of issues pertaining to people who have complex needs and a conceptual understanding of the systematic social and political context in which they occur.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Education, Psychology, Social work, Nursing and Allied Health) or extensive experience and qualifications (Diploma of Community Services) deemed equivalent and/or clearly demonstrated experience in Community Services

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check if you are applying for the 1st time or have renewed your registration since 1st February 2021;
  • present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
  • provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
  • provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical:
  • provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.

On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
