GRADUATE PROVISIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Solutions In Mind Psychology are looking for 1 x Full-Time, or 2 x Part-Time like-minded, passionate and dedicated university graduates to join our growing and expanding team. Solutions In Mind Psychology is a very well-established group psychology practice in the heart of the Western Suburbs of Sydney based in Penrith. We have excellent referral pathways from doctors, Paediaticians, schools and external service providers. We are also an NDIS registered provider supporting many neurodiverse and additional needs clients and their families. We are committed to providing high quality evidenced based assessment and intervention services to children, adolescents, adults.  We are easily accessible to public transport.

About the Role:

 

You will join a supportive team of Psychologists and engage in extensive orientation and training. You will be allocated a small caseload initially and gradually increase over a period of 3 months to a maximum of 5 clients per day in your first 12 months. It is essential that you have a passion in working with children and adolescents but will have the opportunity to work across the lifespan. The program is designed to develop and enhance clinical skills and competencies to meet all AHPRA registration requirements including National Psychology Exam support and guidance and case study support and guidance. The Program requires an additional 12 month commitment post registration. 

 

  • Full-time or part time (3-4 days).
  • You will have the opportunity to provide psychological assessment and intervention with a diverse range of presentations – primarily children and adolescents 
  • Consult, develop and implement positive behaviour support services to NDIS participants, service providers and their families. 
  • Liaise and network with other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for clients and their families  
  • Clinical supervision, professional development and administrative support is provided.
  • AHPRA internship pathway (5+1) to full registration provided
  • Career progression pathway provided to ensure your growth as a practitioner

 

Essential Criteria:

 

  • NSW Drivers License
  • Working With Children Check – or eligible to apply
  • NDIS Worker Screener Check – or eligible to apply 
  • Eligibility for Provisional Registration with AHPRA
