We Care NSW is a provider of specialist mental health, disability services and OOHC services. We are a growing Not for Profit organisation that prides itself on offering quality support services to those living with a mental health difficulty, disability or living in OOHC. Our service delivery covers children, young people and adults in the Maitland, Newcastle, Hunter and Tweed region.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Eligibility for provisional registration with AHPRA
  • Eligibility for 5+1 internship program – Internship plan to be developed in consultation with senior psychologist if successful
  • Completing a Masters of Clinical Psychology or Eligibility for a Clinical Psychology Registrar Program
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and verbal communication skills applied to developing and maintaining positive therapeutic relationships
  • Excellent written communication skills, including proficiency in using client information management systems and electronic health records
  • Ability to proactively seek out self-improvement and learning opportunities to support internship progress
  • Current clear NSW Working with Children Check
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check 
  • Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence

We pride ourselves on providing and an all-inclusive psychology internship program which includes supervision from Board Approved supervisors including a Senior Psychologist and Senior Clinical Psychologist who are committed to supporting your growth and development as a psychologist.
