About the Role
South Coast Private Hospital is a leading provider of Mental Health services in the Illawarra.
- This role offers the perfect opportunity to gain experience working within a private voluntary setting with a dedicated team of mental health professionals delivering excellent evidence-based clinical care across our 90-bed mental health facility.
- You will work closely with Psychiatrist Supervisor, Dr Irwin Pakula, and will be responsible for ensuring psychiatric care including assessments; investigation, treatment and referrals are delivered in an efficient, safe and professional manner.
- You will gain valuable clinical experience in Military Psychiatry and PTSD.
- You may have the opportunity to complete your scholarly project whilst working at South Coast Private supervised by one of our psychiatrist.
- The role allows good work-life balance, with no on-call required or after-hours shifts.
About You
- To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong clinical skillset with prior experience working in an acute care facility.
- You will also demonstrate exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment in collaboration with others.
You Will also Bring
- Current medical practitioner registration with AHPRA.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant clinical experience.
- Experience in an acute care facility as a Registrar in Psychiatry.

Requirements
- Must be vaccinated against Covid-19; a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation.
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 3 months.
