Qualifications & experience
- Commitment to evidence based therapies such as EMDR, CBT and DBT
- Display initiative and confidence to work independently
- Ability to cope with emotionally demanding situations
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Registered with AHPRA / AASW and eligibility for APS membership
- Have met CPD requirements
- Medicare registered
- Experience working in clinical counselling roles and work with vulnerable people
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide individual, couple and family counselling to a diverse client group
- Provide a high level of professional evidence based clinical counselling through assessment, intervention and review
- Ensure all clinical notes are updated in a timely manner
- Knowledge of the community for referrals and liaison
- Adhere to the APS / AASW ethical guidelines
- Actively participate in own and teams professional development
- Participate in the provision of external, and group supervision sessions regularly.
- Establishment and maintenance of working relationships with co-workers, clients and external agencies.
