Psychologist – Position Available

Join our private practice in Kaurna land, Gawler SA, as a full-time or part-time general psychologist or provisional psychologist. This role offers the potential for significant impact and the opportunity to be part of an exciting journey.

About the role:

 

Our practice is looking for a personable, diligent, reliable, and outgoing General Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist to join our warm and welcoming team.

 

The caseload offers the best of both worlds: ongoing work with existing clients and the chance to meet new ones. We also embrace a diversity of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and creative therapies. The role would suit someone who values a high level of communication and organisation, and someone who prides themselves on providing quality clinical care.

 

Essential criteria:

  • AHPRA registration as a Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist
  • Welcoming clients of all genders, identities, and cultures 
  • Commitment to ongoing CPD
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and record-keeping skills
  • A warm and personable approach

 

Obtained prior to employment:

  • Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Risks of Harm Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) or equivalent.
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance
     

Desirable criteria:

  • Have a Medicare provider number or be eligible for one
  • Experience or interest in working with people from diverse groups
  • Experience or interest in working with clients funded under the NDIS 
  • Membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) or Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi)
