About us

Integrity and trust are the foundations at AMC Psychology and we are committed to providing our clients with mental health care in a professional, caring and comfortable environment.
Why you will love working with us!
Practice Culture & Team Building
We believe that workplace culture is of the highest importance, after all you spend a lot of time with the people you work with and your place of work should be filled with positivity and fulfilment. AMC Psychology hosts staff birthday lunches and regular staff social events. Our staffroom becomes “the heart of the home” during our joint lunch hours.
Work-Life Balance
We strongly believe in a healthy work-life balance and self care, where your work commitments remain at work. Our psychologists see a maximum of six clients per day with an additional two hours of paid administration time included each day. This time is used for writing treatment notes, letters, emails, reports, or to grab a quick coffee and chat in the staffroom.
Administrative Support
We understand the importance of administrative work and the additional workload that comes with it. AMC Psychology has full-time reception coverage and the support of a full-time practice manager. Why be tied down with your administrative workload of phone calls, scheduling, billing, scanning and printing when you don’t have to be.
Salary Remuneration
We understand the frustrations and challenges clinicians face, particularly where contractor positions are widespread in our industry. At AMC Psychology, all of our psychologists are employed on salaries. This offers our team members a guaranteed income, with full entitlements.
Architecturally-Designed Practice
Our Directors have created a space like no other, and within this calm and quiet space, our psychologists enjoy their own modern furnished offices. We encourage our psychologists to warm their office space to their character and personality. Our practice also includes a dedicated staff-only meeting room, kitchen, and private bathrooms.
Peer Consultation and Professional Development
We understand the importance of peer consultation as a professional development tool. We strive to provide regular opportunities to meet as a clinical team to borrow on the wealth of knowledge within our practice. In addition, we hold fortnightly clinical meetings to ensure continuity of client care, and self care of our team.
Ever-Expanding Resources
We like to keep therapy fun, engaging and dynamic. We have an ever-growing Resource Library, which contains a diverse range of books, toys, games, cards and activities for clients of all ages.
