Psychologist – Autism Assessment Role Sydney Children’s Practice

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sydney Children’s Practice, renowned for its excellence in clinical care and commitment to community well-being, is seeking a dedicated Psychologist to focus on Autism assessments. With two locations in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West – Glebe and Stanmore – our warm and inclusive practice has earned the trust of both the local community and healthcare professionals.

About the Practice:

Sydney Children’s Practice is a warm, welcoming and inclusive practice. We recognise the importance of nurturing the passion and enthusiasm of our clinicians. This allows us to achieve our aim of making a positive difference to our clients’ lives by providing the best possible care.

The SCP team enjoys and cultivates a collegial atmosphere. As part of our team, you will receive regular supervision from our clinic director (board-approved supervisor), have the opportunity to participate in regular peer supervision and the Clinical Skills Workshops we offer to our team. You will also be fully supported by our Admin Team and practice manager. Our streamlined and efficient processes will allow you to focus on your passion of helping make a positive difference to young lives.

We are passionate about helping others. We firmly believe that with the right help at the right time, lives can change for the better in enormous ways. We are dedicated to helping young lives and always strive to offer the best care possible by:

  • Working with clients collaboratively to achieve their goals
  • Using evidence-based approaches
  • Linking with other professionals to offer a whole of team approach
  • Remaining committed to ongoing learning to continue improving

SCP’s vision is to help build brighter futures through trusted care for young lives. We are looking for psychologists who share this vision.

About the role:

We are expanding our assessment team and are looking for a fully registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist to conduct Autism assessments with the opportunity to also provide ongoing support and care for clients following their assessments.

We currently have an opportunity for you to come on-board as a Contractor or Employee 2-3 days per week. We have a burnout prevention caseload model, which includes a full time caseload of no more than 24 client hours per week, a focus on taking regular time-off, no appointments booked outside of your allocated hours and caseload monitoring to ensure caseload balance of mild to severe presentations.

As part of our commitment to our clinicians, you will be supported through a structured career progression pathway to help you continue developing skills in areas that you are passionate about. Remuneration and the career progression pathway will be discussed at interview.

Our new and well-equipped offices in Stanmore and Glebe are warm and welcoming, with loads of natural light. Both are close to public transport, however there are convenient all-day parking options for both. Close to cafes, parks and schools, they are ideally located.

If you are as passionate about helping children, adolescents and their families build brighter futures as we are, we would love to have you be part of our team. Apply now by sending through your CV and Cover Letter letting us know why you would like to join our team.
