About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Psychologist to join the Senior School team to provide consultancy, advice, assessment, counselling and guidance to students and their parents from Year 7 to Year 12. In the role, you will utilise your psychological expertise in education and learning to support and build the capacity of the school community toward the same goals. It is a requirement to be registered or have provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), be eligible to hold a current membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) or have formal counselling qualifications and experience.

This is a non-ongoing position and we can offer a full-time or part-time contract within the working hours of Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This position is also on call during the school holidays and is required to work at least one week each holiday period.

About You

You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Eligible for membership with the Australian Psychologist Society (APS)
  • Demonstrated experience working within an educational setting
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents and parents/caregivers
  • Demonstrated clinical experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of assessment instruments and interventions
  • Knowledge of how children and adolescents learn and the relevant developmental stages
  • Demonstrated strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Appropriate qualifications
  • A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
  • A current National Police Check; and
  • Full working rights within Australia.
