Psychologist / Clinical Psychologist (employed or contracting) Mind Body Well

JOB DESCRIPTION

Mind Body Well is a boutique allied health clinic in the St Kilda Road precinct of Melbourne. Established more than 12 years ago, we’re now expanding our team to meet the steady demand for our services. Our team of Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists and Dietitians provide therapy for people with a variety of concerns such as mood and anxiety issues, eating disorders, chronic pain, and general health concerns.

Our warm and supportive team are driven by a commitment to inclusive, respectful care, and we are passionate about diversity and inclusion for both staff and clients. We are a values-based organisation, motivated by the following Mind Body Well team values:

  • Community
  • Courage
  • Integrity
  • Abundance

Our staffing model provides the opportunity for either:

  • Salaried employment – providing income security and multiple inclusions such as access to regular supervision (individual and group), and a range of professional development opportunities (including a library of pre-recorded webinars, quarterly in-house professional development, and access to a professional development allowance). Our salaried therapists see a maximum of five clients per day, with ample opportunity to complete clinical administrative tasks
  • Sub-contracting – for people who prefer to work with more flexibility in their work hours. Some supervision and professional development will also be available for sub-contractors

Both employees and sub-contractors will receive support from Janet Lowndes (Founding Director and Psychologist with more than 30 years experience), Ana Ximena Torres (Clinical Manager and Clinical Psychologist with more than 15 years experience), and a core group of experienced therapists who have been part of the Mind Body Well team for a number of years.

We can offer you:

  • the opportunity to be part of an interdisciplinary team in a lead organisation providing evidence based and innovative therapies for a diverse range of clients
  • generous conditions – either in a salaried role, or as a sub-contractor
  • a client caseload which is conducive to providing high quality care, and allows ample time to complete administrative requirements
  • full administrative support and focussed client allocation
  • regular management support and professional supervision (including toward clinical endorsement)
  • a lovely work environment in our central Melbourne office (with some work from home opportunities)
  • regular team meetings, professional development opportunities and resource sharing
  • a highly supportive team culture in a values based organisation

We’re looking for people who:

  • want to be part of a highly skilled, supportive and collaborative team
  • are familiar and aligned with social justice perspectives which respect diversity and value inclusion (for both colleagues and clients)
  • have significant interest, training or experience in providing therapy for people experiencing eating disorders and disordered eating (or are willing to undertake this training with our support)
  • are available between three to five days per week for a salaried role (with some availability to see clients outside business hours), and at least two days per week sub-contracting
  • are eligible for a Medicare provider number (ESSENTIAL)

If you are interested in discussing these roles, please forward your Resume to our Director Janet Lowndes – [email protected]
