Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist in Private Practice (PT) Yarra City Psychology

JOB DESCRIPTION

Enjoy the private practice environment, with the stability of an employed position and a varied caseload. We collaborate with our clinicians regarding the types of clients they are most passionate about working with. We also aim to support our clinicians to work in the format that best suits them and their clients; for example, you might offer shorter-term intensive therapy or want the opportunity to provide longer-term therapies.

We are hoping to welcome an experienced psychologist (P2 or P3) to join our team on a part-time basis for 2 to 4 days a week. Weekends and evenings may be possible. This is a role designed to help you achieve work-life balance with sustainable caseloads and options for additional entitlements for supervision, annual leave, and study leave (see below).

Our current team members are happy to chat to potential interviewees about the culture of YCP. We’ve also included some testimonials at the bottom of this ad.

We work with young adults, adults, and older adults. We have invested in a highly skilled on-site administrative support team who are valued by our clinicians and clients alike. Our office is conveniently located on the east end of Swan St, Richmond, close to public transport, and provides comfortable and private consulting rooms. Currently, we are seeing our clients either via telehealth or face-to-face within government guidelines.

This position will allow you to continue developing your clinical skills, in a warm and supportive environment. We strive to create a supportive environment for our clinicians that includes opportunities for supervision, debriefing, and professional development. We aim to establish sustainable workloads for our clinicians to help ensure you flourish at work and to feel confident that you can provide high quality services to your clients.

Your salary package will be between will be between $50 and $75 per hour (plus superannuation), depending on your experience and the leave arrangements you select; we are aware that different clinicians value different aspects of their salary package, so we aim to offer you some flexibility. Perhaps you want to optimise your hourly pay rate or have a CPD allowance built in. Alternatively, you may be seeking more work-life balance and want to opt for additional leave at a lower hourly payrate.

If you would prefer to join the practice as an associate rather than an employee, we are happy to discuss this.

You will also believe in ongoing personal and professional development. A current Police Check, Working with Children check, and NDIS worker clearance is required before commencing work.

We would particularly like to hear from you if you are experienced and passionate about working with clients who we currently have a high demand from; this includes people with complex trauma, functional neurological disorders, and/or eating disordered behaviours, and neurodivergent clients. However, if you have something to offer that is not currently provided by our clinic, we would love to hear from you! We are always pleased to find team members who represent the diverse range of people we provide services to.
