Mindworx Psychology is an award winning private practice located at Nowest, in the Sydney Hills District.

A two minute walk from Norwest Metro station, our large, modern, beautifully presented, sunfilled practice overlooks the lake at Norwest Marketown.

We offer full time, part time, contracting and staff Psychologist roles. 

About Mindworx Psychology

We are a well-established, successful private practice with a strong client and referral base. Mindworx Psychology has established an exceptional reputation within the local and wider community, most recently being recognised in the local business awards as the Hills District’s most outstanding health improvement service.

Our team provide a range of psychological services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. This includes traditional assesssment and treatment, virtual reality (VR therapy), psychometric testing and neurodiversity assessments, in addition to online courses, groups, workshops and wellbeing work with local businesses. We are passionate about innovation, excellence – and making a difference.

We provide services Monday – Friday (8am-8pm), and on Saturdays (8am – 3pm).

We can offer an immediate start with full or part time caseload for the right Psychologist either contracting (1-2 days), or salaried (3-5 days) dependingon your needs.

How we work

Our clinical team enjoy the flexibility to shape their own caseload.

Our practice works across the lifespan with children, teens and adults. We see a variety of presentations, offering the opportunity to explore areas of interest whilst deliberately shaping your caseload to focus on the age groups and presenting problems that most interest you.

Integral to Mindworx Psychology is work-life balance. A connected team where peer supervision is a daily event – supporting each other to do their best work. We are all at different life stages – but enjoy lunches together, celebrate each other and get together for CPD and social events.

Our clinicians utilise a range of evidence-based approaches including but not limited to CBT, DBT, ACT, IPT, Schema Therapy, MiCBT, CBT-E, EMDR, bio-feedback and Family Systems. We also offer VR-therapy and opportunities to train in this modality to enhance your practice skills.

We host monthly case presentations, book club, peer supervision and mentoring. We access a network of experienced external supervisors who support us with niche presentations, and offer in-house CPD.

Our practice includes our reception space, waiting rooms, seven sunlit consulting rooms, a staff kitchen which includes a cafe grade coffee machine and an endless supply of chocolate biscuits, our conference and training room, our gorgeous workshop space, and a library filled with resources.

Our receptionists, client care team and practice managers are always on site to take care of our clients and to support our team to work safely. Every room has air purifiers.

Our team

Founder and Director, Dr Amanda Mullin is a board approved supervisor and EMDR accredited therapist with a special interest in ADHD and trauma who offers mentoring and case consultation support. 

Dr Amanda Mullin is Doctor of Clinical Psychology, and a qualified holistic therapist, with a passion for mind-body integration and the application of clinical theory to practical skills that create change.

Our team consists of Registered Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Psychology Registrars,  and Provisionally Registered Psychologists, who share a passion for excellence in our work, and for connecting authentically with clients.

Our Practice Managers, our Accounts team and our experienced reception and intake team work together to support the clincial team to do their best work.

We can offer an immediate start with full or part time caseload for the right Psychologist either contracting (from .5  days), or salaried (3-5 days) depending on your needs.

What we want you to bring

Essential:

  • Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Passion for psychology and providing therapy
  • Passionate about making a difference 
  • Qualified/willingness to train in a range of therapeutic approaches (e.g. CBT, ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy, EMDR, IFS, VR therapy)
  • Excellence in case formulation for a range of psychological disorders
  • Clinical flexibility and competence in treating a range of mental health issues seen in private practice such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief & loss etc
  • Self-motivated, organised and efficient at managing time and tasks, able to work independently with strong organisational skills
  • Enjoy working and contributing to our friendly, supportive team
  • A warm, approachable manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to professional development and self-reflective practice

Desirable:

  • Post-graduate training desirable but not essential – we are looking for the right clinicians to fit our team, our culture and our clients 
  • Eligibility for registration with Medicare
  • An interest in child work. Our team shape their own caseloads, however we have strong demand for pediatric work, and would be interested in mentoring an early career psychologist in this space.
  • An interest in ADHD. Some of our team have a special interest in this area, and we have a high demand for assessment and treatment of children and adults.
  • Experience/willingness to train and deliver psychometric testing (e.g. WISC, WPPSI, WIAT, ADOS) is desirable
  • Board Approved Supervisors – leadership roles available on our growing team
