About Us

Port Phillip Psychology is a fun and friendly counselling practice established over 14 years ago with three locations: Chelsea, Brighton and St Kilda. We are looking for Clinical, General and Child/Adolescent Psychologists to join our Chelsea and Brighton teams. Two positions available. 

Our practices are designed to be friendly, welcoming and relaxed. We believe we offer a great environment to work in with supportive admin staff, bi-monthly professional development and peer supervision, social events, lots of smiles and a generous sprinkling of humour.

The Role

We are looking for Psychologists on a contract basis.   

Our primary referrals are for Anxiety, Depression, Children’s issues, Relationships, Workplace issues, Grief and Trauma. 

We have significant demand for our services for children and adults and can offer plenty of work (12-20+ hours per week). We have lots of clients eager to start counselling and we can easily fill your diary. 

If you have a preferred counselling topic (kids, trauma, couples etc)  we will market that skill for you. You choose the type of client issues you want to address and the hours you want to work. We have a wonderful admin team who support you and manage all the tedious tasks.

WE REQUIRE:

  • Minimum of two shifts (including at least one evening or fortnightly Saturday shift).
  • Minimum 12 hours per week.
  • Right to permanently work in Australia.
  • Eligible for a Medicare provider number. 

WE OFFER:

  • Variety of client issues.
  • Your choice of the type of clients you work with (age, issue etc).
  • Flexible work hours (8am – 9pm) and days (Monday – Saturday).
  • Hourly contracting rate ($125 – $150+ per session) depending on role, experience and client type (eg, individuals/couples/NDIS).
  • Full admin support.
  • Regular professional development, peer supervision and social functions.
  • A fun & friendly team with lots of laughter.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Two roles available

  • Generalist Psychologists with a broad range of experience.
  • Clinical Psychologists (hourly contracting rate $150+ per session).
  • Psychologists experienced in Children & Adolescent counselling.
  • NEWLY GRADUATED PSYCHOLOGISTS welcome to apply. Must be fully registered and eligible for a Medicare provider number. 
  • Positions available at our Chelsea and Brighton offices.
