Psychologist Masters Sponsorship Defence Force Recruiting

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is your opportunity to join a dynamic, people-focussed organisation that offers great lifestyle and opportunities you won’t find anywhere else, all whilst having your remaining study sponsored, earning a salary as you complete your degree and having a guaranteed job following graduation.

Your role:

As a Psychologist in the Air Force, you’ll apply your skills and knowledge in behavioural science across a wide range of organisational psychology roles – from occupational, selection and research psychology, to training development and delivery, to performance enhancement and psychological awareness.

Air Force Psychologists are integral to the development and implementation of new initiatives that improve the overall wellbeing and effectiveness of the Air Force workforce. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in developing these initiatives in a workplace like no other, increasing your knowledge and skills in this profession in the process.

On top of this, as an Air Force Officer you’ll be trained to become an inspirational leader and mentor; adept at effectively communicating with and managing teams, with a comprehensive knowledge of Air Force attitudes, values and military protocols and procedures.

Salary

This is your opportunity to be paid a competitive salary as you study at the university of your choice. Not to mention, you’ll receive other benefits like rental allowance, textbook reimbursement and assistance with your HELP fees.

When you first join the Air Force and while studying for your Masters’ qualification, your salary will be between $82,574 – $84,949 plus 16.4% superannuation depending on the completion status of your course.

On completion of your degree and initial training, you could earn $100,579 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation.

Location

Upon completion of your training in East Sale, VIC, you may be posted to one of three Air Force bases around Australia: RAAF Base East Sale, RAAF Base Wagga or Canberra.

Life in the Air Force

When you join the Air Force, you’ll benefit from our investment in your professional growth and development, enjoy great work/life balance, a supportive team environment and extensive benefits – from free healthcare to excellent fitness facilities. Plus, there’s the potential for overseas travel.

In addition, there’s the meaningful experiences that come with serving your country. From participating in Air Force exercises and operations to providing support to communities in need, this is your opportunity to take on a career with many rewarding dimensions.
