THE OGANISATION

ABOUT THE BUSINESS

Healthy Mind Centre Launceston is a leader in the allied health industry. Founded in 2017 by Olivia Boer, HMC is a group allied health practice based in Prospect. Motivated by a desire to “do things differently” (and better), HMC has grown from a small private practice to a diverse team of energetic professionals, including 21 clinicians and 6 administrative support personnel. HMC is committed to challenging the standards of practice and pushing the boundaries of excellence for their clients, team, and the industry as a whole.

ABOUT THE CLINICAL TEAM

The clinical team is made up of highly skilled and relatable early-mid-career clinicians from various disciplines including psychology, social work, counselling, and play therapy. These clinicians play a key role in shaping perceptions of HMC as an engaging practice for children, youth, and young adults. With a broad range of experiences and specialities, HMC’s approach to supervision and collaboration ensures the highest quality services for every client that walks through the door.

HMC emphasise connection and community. The workplace culture, time invested in building relationships, focus on shared goals, and flat management structure has helped to foster a tight-knit team. HMC clinicians routinely work together to offer best-practice solutions to their clients. They employ a holistic approach to ensure clients are equipped with a range of tools and bolstered by their support system. They also connect with their clients through a range of methods – cosy consult rooms, access to fidgets and other sensory toys, and the use of creative approaches that incorporate clients’ interests, play, art, and animals. HMC clinicians advocate for their clients and walk alongside each of them on their “pathways to better”.

HMC clinicians love what they do and are excellent at doing it!
