About the business

Shine Kids Therapy Clinic is a paediatric multidisciplinary therapy clinic located in Wantirna South. We are a dynamic team of Psychologists, Speech Pathologists, and Occupational Therapists. 

Shine Kids Therapy Clinic in a neuro-affirming practice that offers individual and group therapy session to children and adolescents with complex needs, and their families. We have a play-based therapy approach to our services. Group programs are also a focus of the clinic. At Shine Kids Therapy Clinic, we are recognised for our supportive therapy services for children and their families with Autism, behaviour/emotional regulation difficulties, social and anxiety related conditions. We are also know for our comprehensive assessment services including Autism, ADHD, cognitive and educational, and behavioural assessments.   

About the role

We are seeking a full time or part time Psychologist (Child & Adolescent/ Educational) to join our friendly and passionate team.  An independent contractor position is also available, if preferred. School hours can also be negotiated for the right applicant.

The role requires individual therapy sessions, a wide range of assessments and report writing, group program development and participation with other therapists, parent skill training, as well as school and kindergarten services. 

This is a newly created Psychology position and the position will commence  31st January 2023. A fully registered psychologist is essential for this position.

Full administration support: All roles are supported by a dedicated team of professionals including a Director, Practice Manager, and reception staff.  
 

Skills and experience

  • Minimum 1 years experience as a psychologist is required.
  • Knowledge of neuroaffirming practices
  • Experience and training in strength-based practices.
  • Experience using play-based therapy (or a strong desire to learn).
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Experience developing and running group programs (or a strong desire to learn).
  • Experience in administered and interpreting a range of psychology assessments including Autism, with effective report writing skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Experience in the use of evidence based interventions.
  • Eligible to be registered with APHRA, NDIS, and Medicare, and have public indemnity insurance.

The successful applicant will require a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children check, a current police check, and be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (as per the clinics work-safe requirements).
