Child Matters | Teen Matters is looking for a dedicated and motivated provisional psychologist/ psychologist to join our thriving allied health practice. We are a small multidisciplinary service that focuses on assessment and therapy for autistic children and teens as well as children and teens with developmental concerns. We also provide assessment and therapy for children and teens with anxiety, depression or other mental health issues.
Child Matters | Teen Matters is based in the beautiful beach-side town of Busselton, Western Australia and has a well established reputation for providing excellence in service from dedicated professionals. We provide services to families from the greater South West area and offer clinic, home and school based services. The successful candidate will need to be prepared to drive to surrounding areas to see families. We have a flexible workplace with the ability to do some work from home.

We provide individualised therapy programmes for children and targeted family support. We also conduct autism diagnostic assessments and other psychometric assessments.

We offer a flexible work environment but ideally candidate will be available for full time work. For 5+1 internships, you will have other interns as well as registered psychologists to work alongside and assist you to learn the role and to meet the requirements of AHPRA.
A genuine interest in and experience with children is essential. Additional training can be provided.
Supervision is available onsite for provisional psychologists on a 5 +1 pathway. Internship positions are paid but reflect the cost of in-house supervision costs.
Essential criteria are:
5 year (minimum) psychology degree
Experience / demonstrated interest working with autistic children / teens
Excellent assessment and treatment skills
Demonstrated skills in evidence-based interventions
Committed to ongoing Professional Development
Ability to cover a broad range of presenting issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High reliability and strong time management skills
Autonomous with a strong work ethic
Ability to work effectively as a part of a team
Before starting the role must have:
Professional Indemnity Insurance
Roadworthy vehicle & drivers license
Working with Children Clearance
NDIS worker clearance
