JOB DESCRIPTION

You will provide and deliver clinical services as part of Centacare NENW’s mission. You will work autonomously within professional practice and Agency guidelines and contribute to policy and service development, service evaluation and audit of service.

About The Role 

Working as part of our team some key responsibilities include but is not limited to:

  • To work as an independent and autonomous professional within Medicare, EAP, General and test guidelines and the policies and procedures of Centacare NENW, taking full responsibility for own work.

  • To provide the equivalent of 4.5 actual Medicare sessions per day over a period of 42 weeks each year.

  • To select and administer specialist assessments including specialised psychometric assessment (as appropriate), structured observations, clinical interviews, and to interpret and integrate this data.

  • To formulate treatment plans that are specific to each client, based upon an analysis of complex factors contributing to the presentation, and selectively drawing on appropriate conceptual and theoretical models.

  • To maintain high standards of record keeping and report writing, according to professional and Agency guidelines, including electronic data entry and recording.

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling
  • Full registration with applicable registration board
  • Eligible for provider status with Medicare
  • Experience in the delivery of both individual and group counselling
  • Well-developed liaison, oral and written communication skills demonstrated with a wide range of individuals, organisations, stakeholders and clients.
  • A current working with children check.
