Learn about the position:

As our Mental Health Clinician, you  will work as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team to deliver focused psychological interventions for individuals with mental health disorders in a primary care setting.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing focused psychological interventions (individual and group) to clients across a range of teams (adult, adolescents, women in the perinatal period, children, acute etc.) within the Sonder service areas.
  • Planning and implementing assessment and treatment services
  • Group program development and implementation where appropriate and necessary
  • Liaison and consultation with other professional employees
  • Participation in individual and group supervision, and attendance at team meetings and external meetings

 

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum 2 years supervised experience in the area of mental health.
  • A minimum 2 years relevant professional development and or supervision.
  • Experience in delivery cognitive behaviour therapy and other evidence based interventions.

 

Qualification Requirements and other Requirements:

  • Approved tertiary qualification in an allied health discipline, including social work, psychology or mental health nursing.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body. Social workers are required to be eligible for full membership with AASW. Psychologists, mental health nurses, and occupational therapists are required to have full registration with AHPRA.
  • Current or willing to obtain a Working With Childrens Check (WWCC)
  • Safe Environments – Through Their Eyes Certificate (desirable but not required)
  • Current unrestricted Drivers Licence
