Due to a recent expansion of programs and services, Odyssey is looking to recruit a full-time mental health and wellbeing professional, likely a psychologist, social worker or similar to work with our Community Programs team based in Campbeltown. In line with our funding contracts, the role is initially until June 2023, however potential to be ongoing in line with contracts.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and innovative professional to work to support people in the South Western Sydney region with mental health concerns, including those with co-occurring concerns with alcohol and other drug.
Due to current COVID restrictions, an element of this role would include working remotely (at home) initially.
The role will provide specialist mental health and wellbeing treatment and support.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Relevant professional qualification
- Significant experience supporting people with mental health and other support needs
- Experience in the provision of one-to-one support for people with mental health support needs
- Experience in group facilitation and program delivery
- Demonstrated experience working within relevant profession where employee is operating in professional role (e.g. Social Work, Nursing, Psychology).
- Demonstrated experience in the administration and analysis of psychometric testing
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams to support treatment plans and goals
- Experience in referral and co-case management with external programs
- Experience working with the public health system, in particular public and associated mental health support systems.
- Computer literacy including understanding of MS Office Suite and use of Client Management Systems.
- Hold a current NSW Driver’s Licence.
- Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Criminal History Check and Working With Children clearance for paid employment.
