 About the Role:

We’re looking for General or Clinical Psychologist to provide high quality, face to face and online consultations and support individuals mental health.

As one of our General or Clinical Psychologists, you will use a wide variety of techniques and therapeutic approaches in areas such as grief and loss, significant life transitions, developmental issues, relationship difficulties, domestic violence, trauma, and creating healthy lifestyles.

You will be part of a dynamic and experienced practicing team, working together to deliver best-practice client care. You will be a person who is motivated and able to work independently, with a passion for using evidence-based approaches to achieve excellent outcomes for patients. You will enjoy practicing with a wide variety of specialists and receive an ongoing high level of support through great communication from the clinical manager, admin team and colleagues.

 Part Time contract position available for immediate start.

 What we are looking for:

✓ Membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

✓ Eligibility for provider number registration with Medicare Australia

✓ Professional Indemnity Insurance or ability to obtain

✓ Car and driver’s license

✓ Comfortable delivering some odd counselling and psychotherapy services via online video counselling and/or telephone

✓ Able to work a minimum of 2 days per week

✓ Warm, personable demeanor and diligent work ethic

✓ Competency with Microsoft office and keeping up to date clinical notes

✓ Ability to liaison with GPs and wider community such as parents, principals and other health specialists

✓ ABN number or eligibility to get one 

Your day-to-day role will involve:

• Conducting counselling appointments and maintaining a client caseload

• Reporting to referring GPs updates on the progress of clients using our easy-to-use templates

• Giving much needed emotional wellbeing care and support to rural and regional clients from different backgrounds and age groups

• Supporting people in helping them connect with other health and wellbeing services

• Operating alongside with different allied health specialists in a work family style environment
