Psychologists/Counsellors/Psychotherapists Waratah Private Hospital

JOB DESCRIPTION

Waratah Private Hospital Re-Centre is currently seeking experienced Psychologists/Counsellors/Psychotherapists to join our dynamic team from January 2024 on either a full-time, part-time or casual basis with flexibility around weekday or weekend shifts.

Re-Centre has a supportive multidisciplinary team which includes nurses, psychologists, a social worker, an art therapist, administration staff, medical doctors, and psychiatrists. 

About the Role

Successful applicants will;

  • Facilitate evidence-based group programs for patients presenting with a range of mood and psychiatric disorders. 
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, in which treatment plans and discharge planning decisions are made. 
  • Provide individual consultation or therapy when needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of treatment program / therapeutic resources. 
  • Support a positive treatment experience for all patients. 

What we are seeking in candidates

  • Registration with AHPRA or relevant professional bodies
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience including group therapy facilitation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with delivering treatment to a range of mental health disorders.
  • Experience in facilitating group-based programs.
  • A focus on quality outcomes for patients.
