An exciting opportunity awaits to join the expert team at Nourish Nurture Thrive, a highly regarded Eating Disorders & Body Image Clinic in Mornington VIC 3931

 

The Role

We are seeking passionate Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists and/or Accredited Mental Health Social Workers with an interest in the rewarding field of eating disorders and body image concerns for our beautiful Mornington Peninsula clinic.

Located on Main Street in Mornington, our peninsula based clinic is a highly regarded specialist clinic servicing clients from all over the Mornington Peninsula. 

A flexible and rewarding contractor position is available for the right candidate, with negotiable hours, excellent remuneration, and support to grow at your own pace.  Individuals who posses strong clinical skills, a dedication to the field of Eating Disorders and Body Image and some previous experience are welcome to apply.

What we can offer you:

  • Contractor position with flexibility and autonomy 
  • Negotiable hours and days, from ½ a day to 3 days per week. 
  • Work from our beautiful clinic in Mornington VIC 3931 
  • Work within a dedicated multidisciplinary team of Psychologists and Dietitians, based at our Mornington site
  • Some work from home hours are also available for telehealth consultations if desired;
  • Flexible working conditions and generous remuneration;
  • Multiple in-house supervision groups with a team of skilled colleagues, facilitated by external expert consultants;
  • Individual supervision available at a subsided rate for our internal team members;
  • Specialised support and supervision groups dedicated to the development of early in career clinicians;
  • A reasonable and steady caseload (5-6 clients per day), with careful balance of clinical presentations and gradual increase to build confidence and skills;
  • A friendly and warm team who are highly skilled and passionate about Eating Disorders and Body Image issues;
  • Full administrative support from our friendly practice manager and our experienced clinical intake coordinator;
  • A carefully curated intake process with full screening of new clients; 
  • Access to training materials, education and clinical resources;
  • Support and training opportunities to develop your skills in assessment and treatment of Eating Disorders;
  • A registrar pathway is available for psychologists wishing to obtain AHPRA area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology; 
  • Beautiful consulting rooms with medical grade scales, training materials and therapy resources.

 

Your Skills & Responsibilities (Required):

  • Psychologists – Full AHPRA registration as a Psychologist without restrictions; 
  • Accredited Mental Health Social Worker – recognised and accredited by AASW
  • Medicare provider eligibility;     
  • Postgraduate qualifications;
  • Professional indemnity insurance and Working with Children’s Check;
  • ABN and ability to provide own equipment (laptop computer, licensed Zoom subscription);
  • Interest and enthusiasm for the eating disorder and body image field and a commitment to undertake training to in evidence based approaches, with our support and guidance;
  • Values that align with the Health At Every Size framework and a therapeutic style that is trauma informed, inclusive and embraces diversity;
  • Experience with adolescents and families will be highly desirable;       
  • A conscientious, motivated professional with highly developed written and verbal communication skills and stringent record keeping abilities;

 

Highly Regarded Skills and Experience (Desirable):

  • Experience working in a CAMHS/CYMHS/ELMHS setting;
  • Experience working with children, adolescents and families;
  • Experience treating eating disorders & body image concerns;
  • Understanding of Family Based Therapy (FBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Enhanced (CBT-E), & Health At Every Size (HAES);
  • Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC) status will be highly regarded;
  • 5 years clinical experience post registration;
  • Private practice experience and understanding of the Medicare referral pathways and billing arrangements.

 

Please note – this role is not suitable for provisional psychologists who are undertaking postgraduate studies and/or internship programs and are yet to obtain full registration with AHPRA.
