About the role
Our client is looking to appoint Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Mental Health Accredited Registered Nurses to provide evidence-based forensic interventions to offenders within correctional facilities. Positions can be based out of Melbourne CBD, Geelong area or individual correctional facilities with flexibility to work from home two days per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Complete interviews, screenings, assessments and group-based intervention programs within correctional facilities
- Prepare treatment plans, treatment reports and risk reports
- Complete comprehensive case notes
- Assess a range of acute and chronic disorders
- Complete timely and accurate documentation
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Bachelor of Psychology, Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)
- AHPRA registration or membership with the AASW
- Mental health accreditation (Registered Nurses only)
- Australian working rights (essential)
- Australian drivers’ licence
- National Police Clearance
- Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check
