Our Journey

Monash Health provides placements for students who are studying psychology, including those completing post-graduate studies in Clinical, Clinical Neuropsychology and Education and Developmental psychology. The Psychology Student Coordinator liaises with Monash Health Psychologists and other staff, students on clinical placement and education providers, fostering strong relationships and ensuring students are placed in rich learning environments and deliver safe and effective care. The Psychology Student Coordinator oversees student placements, providing a streamlined experience for students and supervisors by ensuring paperwork, onboarding, orientation and placement reviews are completed and assisting to resolve difficulties that may arise. The role includes evaluating clinical placements and collecting data to meet reporting requirements. Where indicated, the Student Coordinator provides support to students on placement including the provision of primary and/or secondary supervision.

About You

You are highly motivated and thrive on the challenge of supporting and developing staff and post-graduate students to perform at their best every day. 

What you need:

  • General Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Hold AHPRA endorsement in an area of practice
  • Hold supervisor endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) for Registrar Supervision (primary and secondary) and Higher Degree supervision
  • Minimum five years’ experience as a practising psychologist
  • Knowledge and experience in providing supervision
