Job Description

  • Full-time / part-time (0.8FTE) flexible 12-month position
  • Provide face-to-face support to customers across the South Eastern suburbs of Melb + work from home.
  • $36 – $39 per hour + 11% Super + Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550     

As the Recovery Coach you will assist a caseload of NDIS customers with psychosocial disabilities (mental health) to build capacity, strengths and resilience through strong respectful relationships, plus ongoing skilled coaching to support people to live an ordinary life.

By working collaboratively with customers, families, carers and the broader service system to identify, plan, design and coordinate NDIS supports you’ll enable custometrs to take control and better manage complex challenges of day-to-day living.

 

 

Qualifications

With specialist knowledge gained through personal lived or learned experience the Recovery Coach will be able to support the customer with their journey of recovery towards leading a contributing and fulfilling life.

You will have:

  • Lived and/or learned experience of mental ill health and/or psychosocial disability.
  • Demonstrated experience in case management, case coordination or a support role working with people with psychosocial disability or chronic mental illness and their families.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively organise your time to allow you to work flexibly and directly with customers as they require and make choices for their support.

Mandatory Qualification/s, Competencies and/or Licences

  • Minimum tertiary qualifications in Peer Work or Mental Health (minimum of Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate IV in Mental Health), and/or a minimum two years of experience in mental health related work.
