We are looking for a Recovery Coach Advisor to join our team in either Bathurst or Dubbo, NSW. The vacancy is Full Time, 75 hours per fortnight, and will be ongoing.

The Recovery Coach Advisor role:

  • Facilitates regular supervision, mentorship and reflective practice with employees of the Commonwealth Psychosocial Support program
  • Supports employees in ensuring measures being implemented with individual clients are aligned with the recovery model; are within scope of the program model, follow the program guidelines and are centred around the client’s recovery goals
  • Engages in the assessment of team developmental needs, makes recommendations around operational needs, and training opportunities to upskill the program
  • Monitors, reports on, and supports employees to manage participants who may carry clinical risk
  • Is a collaborative voice in ongoing program development and continuous improvement

 

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Hold tertiary qualifications in nursing, occupational therapy, social work, case management, psychology or other Mental Health related field OR have substantial clinical experience in the mental health sector
  • Demonstrate and share an in-depth knowledge of recovery focused practice, with a clear understanding and/or knowledge of the concept and impact of mental health issues in the community
  • Have a strong ability or interest in supporting non-clinical staff to safely deliver recovery focused support services to clients with complex mental illness, including intake and screening activities and client centred psychosocial coaching services
  • Demonstrate capacity for self-reflective practice and the willingness to undertake own supervision and professional development
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to impart knowledge in a learning environment
  • High level of computer literacy, including demonstrated experience with report writing and electronic client information management systems.
