About Avivo:

Our Individualized Community Living Strategy (ICLS) program provides recover focused psychosocial supports to our ICLS customers. Our ICLS program is focused on identifying and building on the strengths of our customers to enhance their recovery and meet their individual needs. Since the work can get complex, we’re looking for someone who really knows their stuff when it comes to recovery-oriented practice.

The Individualized Community Living Strategy (ICLS) team are looking for Recovery Mentors, with experience in Mental Health to support customers in Joondalup & Surrounds.

So, what might a day look like?

  • Offer practical support for individuals to manage & maintain their tenancy
  • Social support including assistance with community access and attending appointments
  • Intensive recovery focused support for those living with complex mental ill health
  • Providing reliable, timely and flexible services that best meet the needs of the individual and their family
  • Problem solving issues with the person and/or their family, and the team
  • Regular communication with local team and participation in team meetings

We offer on-the-job training and buddy shifts to help you settle in!

What You Need:

  • Flexibility to provide support Monday to Sunday
  • A Certificate IV in Mental Health or relevant tertiary qualification, (super important)
  • Previous experience in the Mental Health sector and supporting people in recovery
  • Ability to support people to develop and sustain their own social connections and relationships
  • Good understanding of strength-based practice and how to apply it
  • Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude to help ensure our customers receive flexible and individualized support
  • NDIS Clearance or willing to obtain one
